Press Release - February 6, 2018

Vineland Public Library Now Offering Hoopla!

Beginning on Feb. 14, Vineland Public Library is proud to offer Hoopla, a new digital service for free public use! With Hoopla, library users have immediate access to movies and TV, full music albums, eBooks, eAudiobooks, comics and graphic novels. ALL of this content is available through one easy-to-use mobile app or the website. The platform is simple, intuitive, and free to our patrons. BEST OF ALL, there is NO WAITING for titles. The collection contains 500,000 titles and is growing every day!

Content borrowed through Hoopla is available for immediate streaming on a computer or mobile device. On the digital app, content can be temporarily downloaded for offline use (yes, you can watch movies and listen to audiobooks while you are traveling!) Music albums can be listened in their entirety or shuffled between other checked out albums. Hoopla’s eReader, Action View, is interactive, allowing a comic book to be read panel by panel. Hoopla even has a Kid’s Mode setting, allowing young people access to content geared towards ages 12 and under. Visit the Vineland Public Library to get started using this fantastic service today! Once you’re registered, you can check out 4 items on your Hoopla account per month. They automatically return at the end of their borrowing period and there are never any fines.

Hoopla is free for all Vineland Library card holders. Residents of Vineland can get a free library card by showing photo ID, proof of residence, and completing a short form at the Front Desk. For more information, please call the Information Desk at (856) 794-4244 ext. 4243.

All areas of the library are accessible to people with disabilities. To learn more about library displays, services and programs, (856) 794-4244. Regular library hours are Monday – Thursday (9-8); Friday and Saturday (9-5); closed Sunday.
