a friend! Join the Friends of Vineland Public Library.
The Friends of the
Vineland Public Library organized in 1970 to help build
a new library building. Our efforts resulted in the beautiful
library on Landis Avenue, which opened its doors in 1976.
Forty years later the Friends are still active and our
work is still critical to the community library's success.
Thanks to your support,
last year the Friends' fund raising projects raised more
than $ $18,000, which we devoted to much needed library
resources not covered by state or city funding.
15,000 children, teens and adults benefited from programs
sponsored by the Friends of the Vineland Public Library.
We continue to fund programs for children and parents,
teens and adults: Family Nights; Kids Talk Literary Magazine;
Reading Clubs; The Teen Club; Fido & Friends; the
Children's Butterfly Garden dedicated to the memory of
Leslie N. Kotok; Non-fiction DVDs and Books on CD; Author
Events; Training for staff and materials for English as
a Second Language.
