Sabu is a Therapy Dog certified Retriever/Newfie mix. He has also passed his American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test and is registered with R.E.A.D.© (Reading Education Assistance Dog). Sabu is owned and handled by Jeanne Brosh and lives in Bridgeton, NJ. Sabu is a rescue dog. He was owned by
a woman who abandoned him. Sabu ended up at the Vineland S.P.C.A. "My
first mom just left me - I waited and waited for her to come home. But
she never, ever did." Sabu say sorrowfully. To complicate matters,
Sabu had heartworms. A foster family had to be found to make sure Sabu loves to swim. He goes to obedience
school at the 4H center. His favorite food is chicken and roast beef.
"I can smell it cooking from a mile away" giggles Sabu.
He has two puppy brothers and two puppy sisters at home. "I sometimes
chew toys that belong to my Sabu loves to be with people, he loves other animals and especially loves children. "Mom says I'm a terrible watchdog and she is right. I just love everyone too, too much!" sighs Sabu. Sabu loves to hear stories and his very
favorite thing in the whole world is laying quietly while a child reads
to him. He hopes many children will visit him at the library and read
