MARTY

Marty is a little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is a registered therapy dog and is also registered with R.E.A.D.© (Reading Education Assistance Dog). He passed the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test. Marty is owned and handled by Debbie Sauerbrey.

Marty was born in December, 2003 and came to his forever home three month later. He is registered with the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club.

Although small, Marty is full of love. “I love to give kisses….so you had better watchI love this story! out for wet faces!” Marty giggles. He also runs in circles over and over “until I get dizzy, dizzy, dizzy”. Marty loves to be with people and wants to be with someone all the time. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels were bred as companion dogs so this love of people is not surprising. “Mom takes me with her all the time and I try to be very, very good” says Marty. “But mom and dad had to work hard to teach me how to be a nice dog. Sometimes I do make a mistake.” whispers Marty. “But mom says everyone makes mistakes.”

A favorite toy for Marty is a stuffed toy on the end of a string that he likes to chase. He loves books about animals and especially about party animals. Come visit the library and read to Marty. But watch out! You may wind up with a wet face and a little dog in your lap.
