Ancestry Library Edition at Vineland Public Library
Public Library is proud to offer Ancestry Library Edition, a genealogical
research tool for free public use.
Ancestry Library Edition has unparalleled coverage of the United States
and the United Kingdom, including census, vital, church, court, and
immigration records, as well as record collections from Canada, Europe,
and Australia. This collection, with thousands of databases and billions
of indexed names, is essential to having a broad genealogy and history
The Ancestry Library Edition collection has over 5,000 databases including
key collections such as U.S. Federal Census images and indexes from
1790 to 1930; the Map Center containing more than 1,000 historical maps;
American Genealogical Biographical Index (over 200 volumes); Daughters
of the American Revolution Lineage (over 150 volumes); The Great Migration
Begins: Immigrants to New England, 1620-1630; Social Security Death
Index (updated monthly); WWI Draft Registration Cards; Federal Slave
Narratives; and a strong Civil War collection. Ancestry Library Edition
updates continually, with more indexes and original images added every
Ancestry Library Edition is only accessible at the library using a library
card or guest pass. Residents of Vineland can get a free library card
by showing photo ID and proof of residence and filling out a short form
