Local
Author Helen Patricia Jones presented a copy of her first published
book, He Wants – She Wants, to Vineland Public Library. Library
Director Gloria Urban accepted the book on behalf of the library and
congratulated Jones on her accomplishment. Jones has lived in Vineland
since 1946 and said she wanted to present the book to an institution
in her own town. She is a “big fan” of her local library
and spends much time there.
Helen Patricia Jones moved to South Jersey after World War II and raised
four Eagle Scout sons. She earned a B.A. in Vocal Music, taught Middle
School Vocal Music courses and sang for many years in the chorus of
the Opera Company of Philadelphia. He Wants – She Wants is a collect
of short stories for long memories. The book illustrator is Cheryl Crews,
a local artist and art educator.
Library material may be borrowed with a CLUES library card, available
free of charge to all residents in Cumberland County. Regular library
hours: Monday – Thursday 9-9; Friday – Saturday 9-5; Sunday
