Pouring of Concrete
May 9, 2003 Crew worked all week preparing for the pouring of concrete. When we came in this morning the pouring was underway. Signs have been placed on windows in the library to indicate which area is to be the future home of the bistro, teen center, community room and children's event room. Everyone watches the progress through our large windows. One of the workers asked if the signs being put up said "Please do not feed them". Workers must feel like they are on display - but are smiling about it! Level of noise was high this week -- some dust flew when a crew took out the concrete of the future family bathroom. There have been some complaints but on a whole spirits remain high!
