Emotions
by Sara Iwantschenko

Emotions blaring,
My heart is tearing,
What am I to do?
I just don’t know,
Should I let my emotions show?
Who dares?
And I see,
I don’t want to hurt them.
I just want to inform them.
I love them and they are great friends,
So I keep my mouth shut
And say
. N o t h i n g .

If I?
by ~Ziggy Lynne~

If I told you the story of my life, would you want to sit and listen?
If I sang to you a sweet melody, would you nod your head off to sleep?
If I spoke to you the words of wisdom, would you take it with you forever?
If I gave you the gift of eternal life, would you beg me to take it back?
If I helped you through your hardships, would you give me everlasting gratitude?
If I guided you back into the light would you think of me as your God?
If I sat down and wept on your shoulder, would you know just what to do?
If I betrayed you and manipulated you, would you still love me just as much?
If I lied to you constantly, would you still in me trust?
If I broke your heart and tried to mend it, would you let it go back to as it once was?
If I told you I care for you, would you smile for joy?
If I told you I love you, would you open up your doors?
If I told you I need you, would you open your arms wide?
If I told you that you’re the one that made me see things clearly, would you just look at me and cry?
If I told you that I’d always be there, would you come back to embrace me?
If I told you I was scared, would you sit back and hold me?
If I told you that you are the one I could spend my life with, would you smile at me and say that you love me?

No title
by Nefarious AKA Nick

Eyes so dark
Heart so pure
I could never love another
The way I love her
Gleam in her eyes
Like a candle’s flame
I love when I hear her
Call out my name
When she walks by
Birds stop their flight
The dead come to life
And the blind regain their sight
I could never love another
The way I love her
Eyes so dark
Heart so pure
Skin so soft
Soul on fire
She fills me with
Complete desire
The way she moves
The way she looks
One glance at her
Was all it took
When she walks by
People stare
At her radiant face
And her ebony hair
She fills me with
Complete desire
Skin so soft
Soul on fire
Perfect body
A scholar’s mind
Michelangelo would envy
Such a find
Beautiful smile
Always sincere
Whoever’s around
Want her near
When she walks by
Angels weep
Gods hide their faces
And lovers leap
Michelangelo would envy
Such a find
Perfect body
A scholar’s mind

The Ambiguous Certain Future
by Liz Funk

The cold chemical surge rushing through my veins
reaching to the tips of my fingers and the ends of my toes.
Each hair stands erect on the back of my neck;
I am excited.
Like the moment before a kiss
the flashes of silver, blue and white lightening bolts
send chills along my spine.
The chime of the grandfather clock makes me turn and look
to see that it is time.
Shoulders back and head up, I
vanish into the façade to see
the future that is mine.
