Vineland Public Library receives grant for Teen Room

The Vineland Public Library Children’s and Young Adult Department recently received a $4,000 Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland.

The funds will be used to replace three computers in the library’s Teen Room and to provide a Maker Cart full of craft supplies for teens to use for art or school projects during the Teen Room’s open hours.

Second Saturdays in the Teen Room

The Teen Room will now be open the second Saturday of each month.

On “Second Saturdays,” teens ages 13 to 18 can visit the Teen Room from 1 to 4 p.m. to use the free materials and equipment in the Makerspace, complete special projects, or just hang out and enjoy the room.

On June 10, make a light-up paper helicopter!

The Makerspace is made possible by a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland.
