Join us for an after-hours Teen Lock-In on May 5th!

 

Creative young adults ages 13-18 who are current volunteers or who would like to share their ideas for programs at the Vineland Public Library are invited to participate in teen programs each month.

The following is the teen program schedule.

Teen programs are funded by The Friends of the Vineland Public Library. Programs are for ages 13-18 only unless otherwise noted.

Teen Lock-In

Local teens ages 13-18 are invited to participate in an after-hours program at the Vineland Public Library in May. The library’s “Lock-In” program will be held Friday, May 5, from 6 to 9:45 p.m. in the library’s Community Event Room. The library will be closed to the public during this activity.

The Lock-In theme this year is “Peculiar Stuff.” What “Peculiar Stuff” awaits you in the library’s Upside Down?

Teens will enjoy testing their skills while participating in various challenges and Lock-In activities. Pizza will be provided for dinner and teens can make their own dessert at our Waffle Bar. Prizes will be awarded throughout the night.

Registration is required for this free program, as is a permission slip signed by the teen’s parent or guardian. Register here. Please turn in your permission slip to the Children's Department by the evening of the program. Anyone who is not registered for the program will not be able to attend.

Teen Volunteer Training

Monday, May 8, 4 to 5:30 p.m., Children's Department - Need to fulfill some volunteer hours? Fill out a Teen Volunteer application and attend a volunteer shelving training session. *YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 13 & HAVE STARTED 8TH GRADE TO VOLUNTEER.* Please only attend if you want to learn how to shelve books in the Children's Department

 

Teen Club Meeting

Wednesday, May 10, 5 to 6 p.m., Teen Room – Help us plan upcoming programs for children and teens.

Saturday, May 13, 1-4 p.m., Second Saturday, Teen Room – Come into the Teen Room to make your own button or to just hang out and/or use the computers.

Superfight Card Game

Wednesday, May 17, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Superfight Card Game, Teen Room - Enjoy the card game Superfight and debate who will win a variety of epic battles. Registration is required for this program. Please call (856) 794-4244, ext. 6 to register or register here.

 

Teen Anime Night

Wednesday, May 24, 5 to 6:30 p.m.,Teen Room -View and discuss anime and share artwork. This program is in compliance with an agreement through Crunchyroll. To register, call the Children's Department at 856-794-4244 ext. 4246 or register here.

Maker Wednesday

 

Wednesday, Wednesday, May 31, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Teen Room – Select a maker project and show off your creativity using supplies from our Maker Cart. The Maker Cart is funded through a Community Development Block Grant through the City of Vineland. Registration is requested for this program.or register here.
